Virtual Currency Terms

Rules for Coins, virtual gifts, promotional balances, and digital items.

OperatorRipple is operated by an individual developer and service operator. Formal notices may be sent to kisschou@gmail.com.

Ripple Coins and Earnings

Coins are consumable virtual currency used for eligible Ripple features, including gifts and other paid interactions whose current cost is displayed before confirmation. Packages, bonus amounts and feature prices may vary by country, language, platform or promotion and are controlled by Ripple's current server configuration. Coins are not money, cannot be transferred outside Ripple and cannot be redeemed for cash except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

Gift or creator earnings are a separate balance. An eligible recipient may receive the configured share of a qualifying gift or paid interaction after fraud, refund, chargeback and compliance review. The share may differ by gift or feature and is displayed or made available in the Service. Creator earnings are not Coins and become withdrawable only after identity, eligibility, minimum threshold, payment-channel and regional requirements are satisfied.

These Virtual Currency Terms (“Virtual Currency Terms”) govern the purchase, receipt, use, transfer, consumption, and administration of virtual currency, virtual gifts, and other virtual items made available through the Service.

These Virtual Currency Terms form part of the Service's Terms of Service (“Terms”). By purchasing, receiving, or using Virtual Currency, you agree to these Virtual Currency Terms.

If there is a conflict between these Virtual Currency Terms and the Terms regarding Virtual Currency, these Virtual Currency Terms will apply to the extent of that conflict.

1. DEFINITIONS

For purposes of these Virtual Currency Terms:

“Virtual Currency” means digital units made available within the Service, including Coins or other similar units designated by the Service.

“Coins” means the virtual units that may be purchased or otherwise made available for use within the Service.

“Virtual Gift” or “Gift” means a digital item that a user may send to another user or Creator using Coins or another applicable virtual item balance.

“Creator” means a user who participates in the Service's Creator program or other eligible monetization program.

“Purchase” means the acquisition of Coins, Gifts, subscriptions, or other digital benefits through an applicable payment channel.

“Payment Provider” means an app store, payment processor, financial institution, or other third-party payment service used to process a transaction.

2. NATURE OF VIRTUAL CURRENCY

Coins are digital units provided solely for use within the Service.

Coins:

are not legal tender;

are not a deposit;

are not a bank account balance;

are not electronic money unless expressly designated as such under applicable law;

are not cryptocurrency;

do not represent an ownership interest in the Service;

do not represent equity, shares, securities, or investment interests;

do not constitute a loan to the Service;

do not constitute a financial investment;

do not earn interest;

do not create a claim against the Service for cash.

Unless expressly required by applicable law, Coins have no cash value outside the Service.

3. NO CASH REDEMPTION BY ORDINARY USERS

Unless expressly stated otherwise by the Service or required by applicable law, Coins purchased or held by ordinary users:

cannot be redeemed for cash;

cannot be withdrawn to a bank account;

cannot be converted into cryptocurrency;

cannot be transferred to another platform;

cannot be exchanged for securities or other financial assets;

cannot be sold to another user;

cannot be used as a general payment method outside the Service.

A user may use Coins only for the features and digital services made available by the Service.

4. PURCHASE OF COINS

Users may purchase Coins through payment methods made available by the Service.

Depending on the user's device, location, and platform, purchases may be processed through:

Apple App Store;

Google Play;

Stripe;

PayPal;

other authorized payment processors;

other payment methods made available by the Service.

The available payment methods, prices, taxes, currency, minimum purchase amounts, and package sizes may vary by jurisdiction, platform, promotion, or user eligibility.

The applicable price shown at the time of purchase will govern the transaction, subject to applicable law.

5. PURCHASE CONFIRMATION

A Coin purchase is completed when the applicable payment provider or platform confirms the transaction and the Service receives sufficient confirmation to credit the purchased Coins.

The Service may delay, review, or temporarily restrict a transaction where reasonably necessary to:

verify payment;

detect fraud;

prevent unauthorized transactions;

comply with legal requirements;

comply with payment-provider requirements;

investigate suspicious activity;

protect the Service or users.

6. THIRD-PARTY PAYMENT PROCESSORS

Where a purchase is processed by a third-party payment provider, that provider's terms and policies may also apply.

The Service does not control:

payment-provider processing times;

bank processing times;

app-store billing systems;

payment-provider authentication procedures;

payment-provider outages;

currency conversion rates applied by a third party.

Users are responsible for reviewing the applicable third-party payment terms before completing a purchase.

7. PRICES AND TAXES

Coin prices will be displayed before purchase where reasonably practicable.

Prices may vary according to:

country or region;

currency;

applicable taxes;

payment method;

platform;

promotions;

exchange rates;

commercial adjustments.

Unless otherwise stated, applicable taxes may be included in or added to the displayed purchase price depending on the user's jurisdiction and payment channel.

Users are responsible for any taxes imposed on their purchases where applicable.

8. PROMOTIONAL COINS

The Service may occasionally provide Coins or other virtual items through:

promotional campaigns;

referral programs;

bonuses;

events;

rewards;

customer-service adjustments;

promotional packages.

Promotional Coins may be subject to additional conditions, including:

expiration dates;

usage restrictions;

minimum purchase requirements;

feature restrictions;

account eligibility requirements.

Promotional Coins may be treated differently from purchased Coins where permitted by applicable law.

9. USE OF COINS

Coins may be used for eligible features made available by the Service, including where applicable:

sending Virtual Gifts;

unlocking digital interactions;

participating in certain social features;

accessing certain paid communications;

participating in Creator-related features;

other digital services clearly identified by the Service.

The specific Coin cost of a feature will generally be displayed before the relevant transaction or interaction.

10. COIN BALANCE

A user's Coin balance is an internal digital record associated with the user's account.

The Service may maintain records of:

Coins purchased;

Coins received;

Coins consumed;

Coins used for Gifts;

promotional Coins;

refunds or adjustments;

other authorized balance changes.

Users must not attempt to manipulate, alter, duplicate, forge, or circumvent the Service's Coin accounting system.

11. VIRTUAL GIFTS

Users may use Coins to send Virtual Gifts to eligible users or Creators.

A Gift may represent:

appreciation;

recognition;

entertainment;

social interaction;

support for a Creator;

participation in an interactive feature.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, a Gift does not constitute a cash payment directly from the sender to the recipient.

The recipient's eligibility for any Creator-related compensation is governed separately by the Creator Agreement and Creator Payout Policy.

12. GIFTS ARE DIGITAL ITEMS

Virtual Gifts are digital items within the Service.

Except where required by applicable law or expressly permitted by the Service:

Gifts cannot be redeemed by ordinary users for cash;

Gifts cannot be transferred outside the Service;

Gifts cannot be resold;

Gifts cannot be exchanged for cryptocurrency;

Gifts cannot be converted into external payment instruments.

The Service may modify the appearance, availability, pricing, or functionality of Gifts subject to applicable law.

13. CREATOR EARNINGS

Certain Gifts may generate an internal Creator reward, revenue share, or other eligible compensation under the Service's Creator program.

A Gift sent by a user does not necessarily equal the same monetary amount received by a Creator.

Creator compensation may be affected by:

applicable platform fees;

payment processing fees;

refunds;

chargebacks;

taxes;

fraud adjustments;

promotional arrangements;

withholding requirements;

Creator Agreement terms;

Creator Payout Policy;

applicable law.

The specific Creator payout calculation is governed by the Creator Agreement and Creator Payout Policy.

14. NO GUARANTEE OF CREATOR INCOME

The Service does not guarantee that a Creator will receive:

a minimum number of Gifts;

a minimum amount of Coins;

a minimum amount of revenue;

a minimum number of users;

a minimum number of views;

a minimum number of conversations;

a minimum payout.

Creator income may vary substantially based on user activity, engagement, location, demand, platform policies, applicable fees, and other factors.

15. COIN COSTS AND FEATURE PRICING

The Service may establish different Coin requirements for different features.

For example, a particular feature may require a specified number of Coins per:

message;

minute;

interaction;

Gift;

digital service;

other unit of use.

The applicable price or Coin requirement will be presented through the relevant product interface where reasonably practicable.

The Service is not required to maintain a permanent Coin-to-currency ratio unless expressly stated or required by applicable law.

16. CHANGES TO COIN PRICING

The Service may change:

Coin package prices;

Coin quantities;

Gift prices;

feature consumption rates;

promotional offers;

Creator-related economic terms.

Changes generally apply prospectively and do not retroactively alter a completed transaction except where permitted by law or necessary to correct an error, fraud, technical issue, or unauthorized transaction.

Where required by applicable law, users will receive appropriate notice of material changes.

17. NO INVESTMENT VALUE

Coins and Gifts must not be represented as an investment.

Users must not claim that:

Coins will increase in value;

Coins will generate interest;

Coins can be used to earn guaranteed profits;

Coins represent ownership in the Service;

Coins represent ownership in a Creator;

Coins are securities;

Coins are cryptocurrency;

purchasing Coins is an investment opportunity.

Any such representation is unauthorized.

18. NO USER-TO-USER SALE OF COINS

Users may not sell, exchange, auction, or commercially transfer Coins to another user unless the Service expressly provides a feature permitting such transfer.

Unauthorized transactions may be cancelled or restricted.

The Service is not responsible for losses arising from unauthorized transactions between users.

19. ACCOUNT TRANSFERS

Coins and virtual items are associated with the account through which they were obtained.

Unless expressly permitted:

Coins cannot be transferred with an account;

Coins cannot be transferred between accounts;

Coins cannot be inherited or assigned;

Coins cannot be pledged as collateral;

Coins cannot be transferred to another person following account closure.

Mandatory legal rights, including rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, remain unaffected.

20. REFUNDS

Refunds for Coin purchases are governed by the Refund Policy and applicable law.

Depending on the purchase channel, a refund request may need to be submitted to:

the Service;

Apple;

Google;

the applicable payment provider;

another authorized billing provider.

Where required by applicable law, users may have statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights for digital purchases.

21. DIGITAL CONTENT AND WITHDRAWAL RIGHTS

Some jurisdictions provide consumers with statutory rights concerning digital content or digital services.

Where a user requests immediate access to digital content or services and applicable law permits the user to waive or limit a statutory withdrawal period after the digital service begins, the Service may request the legally required consent or acknowledgement.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove mandatory consumer rights.

22. CHARGEBACKS

Users should first contact the Service or the relevant payment provider regarding legitimate billing problems where appropriate.

Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks are prohibited.

Examples include:

falsely claiming that a completed purchase was unauthorized;

falsely claiming that Coins were never delivered when they were received;

intentionally obtaining Coins and then seeking an improper reversal;

repeatedly abusing payment-dispute systems.

The Service may investigate disputed transactions and may restrict account features where reasonably necessary and permitted by law.

The Service will not treat a legitimate consumer dispute as fraudulent merely because a user exercises a lawful payment or consumer right.

23. UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTIONS

If a user believes that Coins were purchased without authorization, the user should promptly notify the Service and/or the relevant payment provider.

The Service may investigate:

account access records;

transaction records;

payment confirmations;

device and security signals;

relevant fraud indicators.

The Service may take appropriate action depending on the circumstances and applicable law.

24. FRAUDULENT OR STOLEN PAYMENT METHODS

Coins must not be purchased using:

stolen payment cards;

unauthorized bank accounts;

compromised payment accounts;

fraudulent identities;

unlawfully obtained payment credentials.

Where a transaction is reasonably suspected to involve fraud, the Service may:

delay the transaction;

restrict the purchased Coins;

reverse unauthorized digital credits where permitted;

restrict related accounts;

cooperate with payment providers;

preserve relevant records;

report conduct where required or appropriate.

25. NEGATIVE BALANCES AND ADJUSTMENTS

Where technically and legally appropriate, the Service may correct a Coin balance affected by:

duplicate credits;

technical errors;

fraudulent transactions;

unauthorized transactions;

chargebacks;

refunds;

system errors;

promotional errors.

The Service will not intentionally create an artificial debt solely by removing Coins that were never validly credited.

Any monetary claim against a user will be handled separately and in accordance with applicable law.

26. TECHNICAL ERRORS

If Coins are incorrectly credited or deducted because of a technical problem, the Service may correct the relevant account balance.

Users must not knowingly exploit technical errors.

Examples include:

duplicate Coin credits;

unlimited Gift generation;

manipulated balances;

pricing display errors;

transaction replay;

API or application vulnerabilities.

Users who discover a significant vulnerability should report it through the appropriate security channel rather than exploiting it.

27. SUSPICIOUS TRANSACTIONS

The Service may temporarily restrict Coins or related transactions where reasonably necessary to investigate:

fraud;

money laundering concerns;

payment abuse;

account compromise;

chargeback abuse;

coordinated manipulation;

unauthorized access;

regulatory concerns.

Any restriction will be handled in accordance with applicable law and relevant Service policies.

28. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION

If an account is suspended or terminated for violating the Terms or applicable policies, the user's access to Coins and virtual items may also be suspended or terminated.

Except where required by applicable law, the termination of an account does not automatically create a right to a cash refund for unused Coins.

Where applicable law requires a refund or other remedy, that legal right will remain available.

29. DELETION OF UNUSED COINS

Users should use their Coins before voluntarily deleting their accounts.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law:

unused Coins may become inaccessible following account deletion;

deleted accounts may not be restored solely to recover unused Coins;

unused Coins are not automatically convertible to cash.

The Service may retain transaction records for legitimate legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, and compliance purposes after account deletion.

30. EXPIRATION

Purchased Coins will generally remain available while the relevant account remains active, subject to applicable law and the specific terms displayed at purchase.

Promotional Coins or bonus Coins may have different expiration conditions.

Where Coins are subject to expiration, the applicable expiration information will be disclosed in a reasonably accessible manner.

The Service will not apply an expiration rule where prohibited by applicable law.

31. SERVICE CHANGES

The Service may add, remove, modify, suspend, or discontinue features involving Coins or Gifts.

For example, the Service may:

introduce new Gifts;

discontinue existing Gifts;

modify Coin consumption rates;

modify Creator reward structures;

introduce new purchase packages;

remove promotional offers.

Where required by applicable law, users will receive appropriate notice or alternative remedies.

32. SERVICE DISCONTINUATION

If the Service permanently discontinues Virtual Currency functionality, the Service may provide an appropriate transition process.

Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, this may include:

advance notice;

a period during which Coins may be used;

migration to a successor service;

refunds where legally required;

other appropriate remedies.

33. ACCOUNT SECURITY

Users are responsible for protecting access to their accounts.

Users must not share:

passwords;

authentication codes;

account recovery credentials;

payment authentication information.

The Service will not require users to provide cryptocurrency private keys or recovery phrases in order to purchase or use Coins.

34. THIRD-PARTY PROMOTIONS

The Service may occasionally offer Coins through third-party promotions.

Additional terms may apply to those promotions.

Where a third party independently administers a promotion, that third party may be responsible for the promotional terms, eligibility, fulfillment, or related obligations.

35. RECORDS AND TRANSACTION HISTORY

The Service may maintain transaction records for legitimate purposes including:

accounting;

customer support;

fraud prevention;

dispute resolution;

tax compliance;

regulatory compliance;

security;

enforcement of contractual rights.

Transaction records may include:

transaction identifier;

purchase date;

amount;

payment status;

Coin quantity;

Gift activity;

refund status;

chargeback status;

relevant account information.

Processing of such information is governed by the Privacy Policy.

36. CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Users may contact customer support regarding:

missing Coins;

incorrect balances;

duplicate charges;

unauthorized purchases;

failed purchases;

Gift-related issues;

refund requests;

payment disputes.

Users should provide relevant transaction information where available.

The Service may request additional information reasonably necessary to investigate a transaction.

37. NO GUARANTEE OF AVAILABILITY

The Service does not guarantee that Virtual Currency features will always be available.

Temporary unavailability may result from:

maintenance;

technical failures;

payment-provider interruptions;

app-store restrictions;

security incidents;

regulatory requirements;

force majeure;

other circumstances outside the Service's reasonable control.

38. COMPLIANCE WITH LAW

Virtual Currency features will be operated subject to applicable laws and regulatory requirements.

The Service may restrict certain Virtual Currency features in particular jurisdictions where necessary because of:

local law;

payment restrictions;

app-store requirements;

financial regulations;

consumer-protection requirements;

sanctions requirements;

tax obligations;

fraud or security risks.

39. NO FINANCIAL SERVICES

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the Service does not provide:

banking services;

investment services;

brokerage services;

cryptocurrency exchange services;

lending services;

deposit services;

payment-account services.

Coins should not be interpreted as a substitute for regulated financial products.

40. USER RESPONSIBILITY

Users are responsible for:

reviewing the purchase price before purchasing;

protecting their account;

reviewing the applicable purchase terms;

using Coins only for lawful purposes;

reporting unauthorized transactions promptly;

complying with applicable laws;

avoiding transactions with users who request suspicious payments.

41. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

The Service may update these Virtual Currency Terms from time to time.

Changes may be made to reflect:

changes in the Service;

new payment methods;

changes in applicable law;

changes in payment-provider requirements;

changes in consumer-protection requirements;

new fraud or security risks.

Where required, material changes will be communicated through appropriate means.

Continued use of Virtual Currency after the effective date of updated terms constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.

42. MANDATORY CONSUMER RIGHTS

Nothing in these Virtual Currency Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or replace any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted in the user's jurisdiction.

Where mandatory local law provides greater protection, that law will apply to the extent required.

43. RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER POLICIES

These Virtual Currency Terms should be read together with:

Terms of Service;

Privacy Policy;

Community Guidelines;

Subscription Terms;

Creator Agreement;

Creator Payout Policy;

Refund Policy;

Safety / Anti-Scam Policy;

Copyright / IP Policy;

Data Request Procedure;

Law Enforcement Request Policy.

The Creator Agreement and Creator Payout Policy govern the separate relationship between the Service and eligible Creators regarding Creator compensation.

44. CONTACT

Questions regarding Virtual Currency may be submitted to:

Billing / Virtual Currency Support: kisschou@gmail.com

45. FINAL NOTICE

Virtual Currency is intended solely for use within the Service.

Users should purchase Coins only after reviewing the applicable price, quantity, and purchase conditions.
